August 10, 2014 - Second Sunday Group: 2005 CdP Traditional Cuvees vs. Tete de Cuvees (Neil's): Deep color. Has an acetone note that blows off leaving citrus, apple and wool notes. Butterscotch, lemon and mineral qualities on the palate. Guessed older Chassagne.

November 25, 2013 - Terroir by Juancho Asenjo (Enoteca Barolo - Madrid): Hotter and darker in colour than H Boillot's
Gently honeyed on the nose. Some wood too.
More interesting on the nose with notes of champagne, of biscuits. Perhaps an exotic touch but softer.
Más cálido y de color más oscuro que el Boillot.
Amablemente albibarada en nariz. Algo de madera también
Más interesante en boca con notas a champañadas a galletas. Un toque exótico quizás pero muy suave. -

May 14, 2013 - I'll stick with my earlier score, although I find the mealiness if you will less evident. Seems plenty more gold than it should be at this point. Has stuffing, but seems a bit ungenerous at this point with maybe a bit of astringency.

March 8, 2013 - Shares with the Jadot Perrieres what I don't prefer in white burgundy (and which some do prefer) - a butterscotch oatmealy quality. To me, not an overlay, as say minerality in a Puligny, but instead overwhelming with regards to that beautiful Burgundian chardonnay expression. Anise notes as well. Also like the Perrieres more deeper gold in color than I would like.I would say that I think this an underperformer for the vintage, but this seems to be the house style. It no doubt has a following, but I'm not in it.
