December 9, 2023 - Unlike many Dujac 2008s, this was showing a bit reserved. Aromatics not quite as effusive as I've come to expect from Dujac in this vintage and the fruit+spice combination is somewhat subdued on the palate. Tasty enough, but this will be much better as it opens up in 5+ years.

August 26, 2019 - This is my second bottle of 2008 Domaine Dujac Morey Saint Denis 1er Cru this week from two different sources and this does not live up to the usual Dujac level. Tasted blind - A low pitched array of raspberry, dark fruits, some stems but not charming or floral. Drying tannins. 2013? Morey St Denis 1er Cru? (86/100)

August 7, 2019 - I find Dujac’s Morey Saint Denis Premier Cru generally doesn’t express the terroir of Morey as one would expect. This 2008 Morey Saint Denis 1er Cru is dark and low pitched, mixed berries and spiced oak. Drinking well today like most 2008, most of which are ageing faster than expected. (86/100)

May 10, 2012 - Chenins, Chambolles and Moreys at Ibiza (New Haven, CT): Very pretty; a core of bright strawberries, raspberries and cherries gently seasoned with earth and fresh herbal and floral elements. It's much more expressive aromatically than it is on the palate where the flavours aren't as complex or bright, but it's very easy to drink with surprisingly gentle, fine grained tannins and bright acids providing a lot of the structure.

July 11, 2011 - 2008 Red Burgs: Slight vegetal nose. Fine tannins, medium red fruit, bit reductive. Not impressive given the domaine. OK... but... underwhelming
