November 26, 2022 - Really lively. Solid burgundy color - no sign of age. Earth and cherry aroma. Flavors of dark cherry and tilled soil accented by clove. Great, great typicity. Ethereal and not at all heavy. Super purity. Good balance and no 2008 piercing acidity. Really lovely. 93

August 6, 2014 - Lovely fruity spicy Frenchy pinot.. Great drinkability window. Clove cassis blueberry herbal goodness. Four years did it good!

March 10, 2011 - Tight and unyielding at first, barely emitting but a whiff of grated ginger and tart cherries. A little breathing and the introduction of a dish of duck ravioli with mushrooms ignite the wine and unlock all sorts of ethereal notes. There’s rosewater, dark cherries, lighter cherries, quite tart cherries and a little liquorice. Scratch just below the surface and you find a little meat and earth and the oak imparts juts a touch of creaminess to the fruits. Did I mention tart cherries? Well they boot in at the finish and drive the wine home with a big lick of minerals.

April 15, 2010 - LS Julie Rob – Hmmm, ’08 may be tricky. Lovely nose with pine, cherry, delicate spices and floral jasmine teas. On the palate however there is a pretty “lean and mean” tightness, some “bugspray” and not a ton of stuffing. Better with food, but this is tough love now, even at this reasonable Grand Cru price.
