June 13, 2002 - Similar impression as 12/1/95. Holding lots of fruit and very pleasant. However, the tannins still dominate and the wine is likely going out of balance (that is, the tannins are outlasting the fruit).

December 1, 1995 - Dark ruby with red/brick rim. Heavy sediment (would decant). 10 minutes after decanting, the wine shows intense cedar, cherry, chocolate and blackberries. Full body, still very tannic. Palate show same flavors as nose. Long finish. Lovely, and still seems young!

March 27, 1993 - Steve Girard Winery (Hi-Time Wine Cellars, Costa Mesa, Ca.): Nice cabernet nose, well balanced, lots of fruit in the mouth,, dusty, long cabernet finish.

December 6, 1991 - Dark ruby with red rim. Nose shows blackberries and oak, without much complexity thus far. Currants and oak on palate. Very tannic. Still very youthful. It is unclear if the tannin will ever soften before the fruit dries out.

October 25, 1987 - Very nice deep red color. Strong fruit in the nose, a bit acedic when opened but softened very nicely. Full tasting.. will cellar three more years.
