  March 17, 2021 - Interesting wine supplied blind to our Xtremo group last nite. NO ONE pinned it as a Sonoma blend, tho many believed it to be a blend. I was the only one to guess 20 yrs of age here, among very disparate opinions re the age of the wine. There was quite a bit of bottle variation too.
  The wine was initially sweet to the taste, a bit reticent on the nose, and on the hot side. Over time, the wine faded noticeably, as the nose grew increasingly intense, becoming very earthy, musty, mushroomy, and noticeably aged. Appearance as well showed very brown edges in the glass. I enjoyed the wine as a curiosity at first but it faded badly in the glass to the point where it was noticeably over-the-hill. Waited 5-10 years too long to uncork this one.

  April 8, 2013 - A very smooth blend with a good deal of complexity and great mouth feel. Opens up quickly presents with a nice nose and very nice color. The tannins smooth out quickly and present several layers of complexity. This wine is drinking very nicely right now, now big signs it is over the hill but likely not much more room for improvement. Enjoy!!
