  April 21, 2016 - Has improved somewhat since last time I tried it. Still somewhat round and open knit, typical of the 2006 vintage. But seems to have come into a bit better balance with the over ripe fruit a bit more in check and more a sense of structure, particularly in the finish relative to what I recall from a few years ago. The usual oak in the nose and chocolate in the mid palate and finish, but not obnoxiously so.

  A decent Calif Cab. Opened up a bit after decanting. I see that numerous others had this at 90+. I will not argue with anyone's taste, but this did not strike me as an outstanding wine. Very good -- certainly.
