September 6, 2015 - At dinner in Ravello. The wine was very good and in a good place, but short of great. A little soft, leading me to believe that it is done improving. If I owned any I would drink up over the next year or so.

August 7, 2015 - Smokey cocoa, dark cherries, violets, and anise on the nose. The tannins were clamping down at first, but after an hour of being decanted they calmed down and the wine offered a nice long finish. There's definite evidence of oak, and I would give this a few more years to settle in.

June 13, 2015 - This wine shows a clear, medium intensity, garnet color. Just a little bit of sediment in the bottle.

The nose is developing with a medium(+) aroma intensity. It shows aromas of fresh and dried cherries, raisins, pomegranate, warm earth, dried rose petals, black olives, leather, oak, cold espresso and a hint of smoke.

The wine is dry, with a medium(+) acidity, medium(+) tannin and medium(+) body. The flavor intensity is medium(+) with flavors of cherries, pomegranate, orange peel, dried rose petals and crushed stones. The finish is medium(+).

This was my second and last bottle of this wine. It's a really good wine but a bit too soft and flabby for a Etna Rosso at this price point. Maybe it's made in a little bit more international style.
However, the wine is in a really nice phase right now and I can't see any point in cellaring this further but it will definitely hold together for another 3-4 years.
