December 4, 2021 - Sixteenth Annual White Truffle Dinner (Inovasi - Lake Bluff IL): In 2008 Bâtard-Montrachet flight. Bright and rich apple and pear throughout with enticing spice notes. Wonderfully bright and elegant with good weight with near perfect balance showing just enough fat to be classically Bâtard-Montrachet.

April 18, 2017 - This is a beautiful wine that is textbook Batard. Ripe plush buttery aromas dominate. On the palate dense, fat, and round yet with intense layered apple-peach fruit flavors and balanced great brightness. Pure yumminess.

April 18, 2017 - Burgundy Dinner - René Engel and 1978s (Formento's - Chicago IL): Open 20 minutes before serving. Intensely floral start with sweet spice, ripe apple, baked apple and some peach. Very rich and concentrated on palate. Very long and plenty of structure to keep this very texturally exciting start-to-finish. Very impressive for the first vintage of Bâtard Alex made.
