February 16, 2015 - Wine is in a nice place right now. Great fruit on the nose with nice Grenache fruit flavors complimented by bright acidity and firm tannins which both would lend to a wine with a lot more aging potential.

November 15, 2012 - If you go into this wine expecting a French interpretation of a Grenache, or a high octane overpowered monster that has sticks and leaves still in it, you're probably going to rate this rather low. This wine has to be appreciated for what it brings to the dinner table and how it complements what it is enjoyed with. This wine MUST be enjoyed with food. Cork was popped to a medium ruby red color. Pour into the glass was surprisingly light to medium bodied. The nose out of the glass was red cherry, raspberry, and some herbaceousness, almost a dirt/grass note. The wine itself on the entry was a very light bodied wine (for a grenache). Lots of raspberries in the glass, with an earth note...limestone. Finished with limestone grit, basil, earth, and tannin that was a little bit expressive and perhaps a tiny bit harsh. Tannic balance was great with food, making some of those raspberry and earth notes linger quite a bit more. Surprisingly nice wine. Drink now - This one doesn't have what it takes to survive more than past 2013.

September 20, 2012 - Ruby color with earthy smoky dark fruit aromas. On the palate med bodied smooth and tart with dark cherry, raspberry, earth and slight mineral flavors. Med + finish

February 26, 2012 - Lighter bodied ruby red in the glass, with good light passing. Strawberry essence, and some fresh fruit florals. This has some depth and punch, with grip for medium bodied wine. Not a pass for a CnDP, but more of a California expression of this fruit. New World, but has some interesting character. Actually enjoyed the different profile of this wine, and went well with mixed diner fare.
