May 3, 2019 - Very nice on opening, a bit light in color but good concentration, nice ripe berry aromas. A bit sweet on the palate but not overly so. As the evening wore on, it got a bit pruny, so I'm glad we drank it up.

November 30, 2018 - Opened two hours before pairing with spaghetti and meatballs. A dark ruby in the glass, the nose features dark cherry, cassis, plum, mulberry, tobacco and a touch of greenies. Such a great year for Napa Valley cabernet, and yet they still have some green notes. Some lots must have been picked a bit too early. Don't see this improving, and would drink sooner than later. Bit of a letdown for one of our favorite wineries year in and year out.

November 28, 2018 - Nice, ripe, unexciting, a bit too sweet for my tastes. This was better a few years ago.

March 11, 2018 - Last bottle of this wine and the best bottle yet. Served with grilled T-bone steak with which it was an excellent match. Tannins are largely resolved, with cassis, leather, and plums in the initial flavor. Some complexity in the mid-range and a good finish. Wish I had a couple more.

December 3, 2017 - Served with grilled lamb sirloin chop. This is a very good California cabernet from Martini that has lost most of its tannin, beginning to develop some secondary characteristics with nose and initial flavors of cassis, wood, and plums, moderate length. I would recommend drinking this wine within the next 2-5 years since it also appears to be slightly beginning to lose some fruit. Thoroughly enjoyable and at a very good price.
