October 20, 2011 - Some subbtle oak fueled overtones of almonds. Flavors burst of ripe berries and mature raisins. Finishes off very nicely but a bit too much oak.

December 22, 2010 - A good example of an aged shiraz, demonstrating some interesting secondary characteristics. Blueberry profile on the nose and palate, with restrained oak also evident. With time, has developed some creaminess, good length, and less overt sweetness.

January 4, 2008 - dark purple, inky. Smells like a purple magic marker. Viscous mouthfeel. Repeat viscous mouthfeel. This is some thick stuff. Concentrated berry compote in the mouth. Pepper spiced midpalate, with some acidity (i think) that makes me salivate. Looooong finish. This gives the impression of being some highly concentrated stuff. My main critique would be that it lacks a certain amount of 'deliciousness'

December 12, 2007 - Really dark, almost black. Blackberry and currant on the nose. The palate follows with heavy blackberrry with lesser tones of currant, raspberry and a bit of cinnamon spice. The cinnamon was a nice departure from the traditional "peppery" shiraz. Nice and fruity, not all that complex. If I had to quickly describe this wine it is pretty much a very serious blackberry bramble. If you like blackberry flavors, this is your wine.
