  November 2, 2023 - Tasted 07/08 Reignots and Suchots side-by-side. The 2008 Reignots was the WOTN for me. Powerful and deep on the nose with cherries, earth, underwood, and darker toned fruit notes. Good acidity on the palate with dark cherry flavors, strawberries, forest notes, and spices. Long finish. Really excellent and quite serious wine that seems to be drinking really well right now. Not at all as lean as some other 2008s I've had, this has great balance between power, lift, and depth.

  November 2, 2023 - really an impressive showing; i think this wine is spot in its window; nose- dark fruits with some spice, mouth - complex and loaded with dark fruits, dense and savory to boot. almost a bit meaty. this is the proverbial iron fist in a velvet glove, powerful yet voluptous and gorgeous. as we know its a matter of catching these wines in their prime and i think now, or soon is what i recommend for this cuvee. the 07 we had after needs consdierably more time. great terroir.

  May 6, 2022 - Medium bricking red. Legs. Nose highlights of massive dark fruit, soy sauce, smoke, meaty. Big with balance. Fruit, salt, cocoa. Fruit old vine chewy. Serious. Tremendous. Wow.
