  October 16, 2022 - A dark crimson color with some signs of age on the edges. Slightly cloudy. Nose is open and expressive with notes of ripe wile berries, mostly red but with some blue fruit. Quite floral as well, perhaps driven by the co-fermentation with some Pinot Beurot from the site in making this wine. On the palate, this is powerful and sultry with rich red berry flavors — chocolate covered cherry - meaty tones, and lavender all on the round, but mineral driven mid palate that is quite concentrated. Good acid core provides lift and finesse on the long and energetic finish. Drinking well.

Great liveliness on the palate, energetic, bright-fruited, more florals (rose, primarily) and absolutely wonderful in all ways. One of the best wines I've had this year, and I will seek out more

  December 27, 2020 - Eight years ago this seemed very awkward. But now everything has come together. The oak has all been resolved, and it is now a perfect packet of silky power. The tomato/iron character seems to have been transformed to something much more refined. This does not impress by its complexity nor its refinement. It primarily impress by succulence, balance and power.
