  December 25, 2023 - Amazing wine. Still young (yes, young), fruity, smooth, complex… a couple more years ahead on the fruit side, then earthy flavors to come. My guess is this wine will be still good/enjoable by 2030.

  November 5, 2022 - From magnum. Tasted after the 2005 and next to the 1999. Stylistically different, cooler, more elegant, darker in terms of fruit profile. Notes of tobacco, spices, mint. On the palate a bit more grip and structure. Very elegant and fine with very good length. Really good. No rush drinking up. 93-95

  We have been the biggest advocates that this 2002 is probably one of the best Sassicaias of the last 25years drinking even better than our other fav the 1997 (Papies 94 plus) and on this occasion it shone even brighter than the past time we had tins 2 years ago. We had the joy of having followed this wine for the last 8 years and each time delivers a smile especially to lovers of classic old school bordereaux like us. We love serving like on this occasion to demanding palates and seign their response. A ballerina of a wine is as pest a picture as ever we can paint for this. Devout of any over ripeness, excessive use of oak that we have seen in the mid 2000s at Tenuta San Guido when they probably thought Gaja style was the way fwd.
  This 2002 probably is the result of our favorite partner in wine , Randomness. A ballerina indeed, soft and silky but very much present, effortlessly dancing around exhibiting a skill that one needs focus to pick the subtle signs of excellence, always "en pointe", harmonious movements but underlying it all a strength . Beautiful 96 and what a way to close our event.

  September 12, 2022 - 醒酒三个小时，深石榴红色，闻香有一点VA，如此意大利？青椒气息和奶油巧克力的味道，入口酸度高，单宁细腻，酒体偏瘦，有些甜美，青椒味明显，醋栗的香气，还有奶油和巧克力，余味香草奶油。很像现代风格的波尔多。

  April 19, 2022 - Will T’s Sassicaia @ Noizé (Noizé, London): Slightly paler ruby, also quite cloudy. Darker and more mulberry fruited nose without the mint. Plush, smooth, finely velvety. Some Cab Franc complexity here. A little lighter than the 2000 and a bit thinner. Ginger after a while. The most ready, and holds its own nicely with air. ***1/2
