July 11, 2021 - Last of 7 bottles and for a 14 year old wine still going strong. Even though this was only 15% Malbec this time it stood out during the tasting. Very right-bank feeling and a decent pedigree.

July 9, 2020 - A gift from a close friend. Decanted 1 hour. Cork was fragile but easily filtered out.

Dark red in the glass. Wonderful nose of dark fruit and hints of moist oak. On the palate it presents Plum, Plum and more Plum. It’s almost Amarone like. Wonderful, with a big powerful mouthfeel.

    Enjoyed it a great deal.

September 28, 2019 - The wine looks inky colored. The legs are medium. There is light sediment in the bottle. It smells like black currant (cassis), cherry, chocolate and light toast.
The body is medium. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.

September 2, 2019 - Cork came apart while opening. Pieces of cork dispersed into the wine. Could not get all the cork out of the wine.
What I tasted was okay, but particles of cork kept me from enjoying this wine.

March 24, 2018 - Decanted for an hour. Had a funk... not quite corked (musty) but it lingers on the nose even after decanting. It blows off in the glass... and reveals nice purple fruits.... but keeps coming back (literally... blow off the glass and the next inhale is pleasant).

Palate runs a little sweet. Fine grain tannins... but not much left on the finish. First bottle I opened a year or so ago was much better. May have peaked or this was an off bottle..
