April 22, 2023 - This was an exceptionally intellectual pleasure and one of the best red wine experiences I‘ve ever had. From an obviously well-stored bottle, this kept revealing new aromas with every sniff and sip over several hours (after being decanted for 5 hours beforehand). 200% intensity, laser sharp precision, all that aromas that only the greatest old wines display and a structural frame that will allow for many more decades of ageing. For some in the group the wine was too intense and not with the right aromas but I couldn’t get enough of it. Wow.
TN: Exceptional concentration on the nose and palate with intense, perfectly precise and ever changing aromas popping up left and right. Malty notes, caramel, coffee, sugar, honey, strong BBQ, meaty, animalistic, cedar, rocks and with time more and more sweet dark fruit and blueberries. Just and endless stream of new notes for hours. Still a lot of tension and superb freshness here which keeps all that intensity well in check. Superb length and the complete package. -

April 2, 2023 - A negociant bottling lunch: Based on the all-knowing wineterminator's recommendation, we decanted this for 4 hours and it was absolutely the right thing to do. Malt, Caramel, bacon, smoked bacon, porcini, espresso, butter. What an absolutely amazing wine!

February 12, 2022 - From a bottle with a high fill (5cm) and a very good color steming from a cold belgian cellar. Tasted after opening and then decanted for 4 hours, this had an intense, dark nose of espresso, licorice, chocolate, cola and malt. Very dense structure with some medicinal notes. Beautiful!
