April 5, 2013 - Accidentally picked this up instead of a 1989 Le Montrachet, but it was a pleasant surprise! It took the wine a full hour to settle after looking for itself, and was a great pairing for some lovely sushi. Not as buttery as I would have expected an old Meursault to be, it could have been mistaken for a Puligny 1er cru. The deep golden robe of these old Chardonnay's never fails to impress me.
