February 1, 2015 - PnP, then drank over 2 hours. Delicious, blueberries, dense, though just a touch less ripe than the 2002 vintage we also drank tonight. This 2001 is enjoyable now, or has a few more years.

January 7, 2012 - I opened this for my wifes birthday party and prime rib dinner on 1/7/12. It was decanted for an hour and a half before the first taste. It had an extremely complex, elegant and integrated bouquet of cassis, black cherry liqueur, licorice, spice and chocolate aromas. The palate was ripe, rich and integrated with flavors of cassis, black cherry liqueur, licorice, spice, mocha and chocolate…truly fabulous! 94+
