  August 22, 2022 - The fact it had such an impressive deep colour and was as healthy as it was it testament to such a great vintage. Plenty of earthy, St. Estephe fruit. Good weight and length though was noticeable after 45 minutes it started to tail off quickly so clearly not a long keeper.

  April 13, 2018 - This wine punches way above it's weight. Even after 28 years in the bottle, it is drinking beautifully. Dark magenta in the glass -- no browning whatsoever. Round in the mouth. Notes of licorice. Sweet, dry blackberry. Very clean -- no earth, leather or tobacco. A long finish; very pleasant. The last bottle; too bad...
