January 8, 2022 - double decanted and began drinking one hour later. wine opened with a nose of dark fruit and earthiness. on the palate the fruit was driven by blackberries, black currents, sage, and some earthiness. there was a really nice balance of acid and fruit to this wine. i did not find it over-ripe and thought that it was still drinking quite well given it was a 2007. best of all, was the nice long finish. paired wonderfully with peking duck.

December 31, 2020 - Needs an hour or so of air. Moderate fruit, a touch acidic. Not aging as gracefully as it should at the price point.

June 14, 2020 - I'm sticking with my review from a few years back. This wine is just overrated. How Parker rated it 98 points has me scratching my head.
Decent nose, medium bodied average cali cab. Not worth the $80 paid.

December 1, 2017 - Completely underwhelmed by this bottle. Nice nose, and a decent drinking cabernet but not not worth $80. The fruit seems to be fading and this was stored in a perfect environment. This is a bit more like a $30 QPR in my opinion.
EDIT.. Turned out that I was starting to get a really bad cold and I may have rated this wine unfairly. My pallet was compromised so I will come back to this in a week.
