  November 20, 2021 - This is as good as it gets for Napa Merlot. The fruit, mostly blackberry and cassis, is still fresh. The acidity and tannins are mellowed out but retain just enough presence to keep things interesting. Tertiary tobacco and baking spice notes are perfectly in harmony with the rest of the wine. The Seavey signature green notes make an appearance with an almost eucalyptus-like aroma. Seavey is so good.

  July 26, 2021 - One hour decant, served with a dry-aged ribeye. This wine was simply delicious. A beautiful blend of candied cherries, blueberry, tied together with smooth tannins.

  December 31, 2019 - Still drinking well and has more years left. Dark Purple with cocoa and herb flavors on the palette. Poured into glass about 45 minutes prior to dinner and really opened up.

  December 18, 2018 - Really great drinking well here. Balanced between dark purple fruit, forest floor and pepper and herbs.

  June 17, 2018 - Great wine. 1 hr decant. This is a serious Merlot. Totally enveloped the palate. Flavors were complex, dark, and a little rustic. Great nose. Will last but drinking great right now.
