Community Tasting Notes 50

May 30, 2016 - Pale scarlet color. Cherry on the nose, but tart. The cherry is there on the palate but it tastes thin, tart, green... If this is like the other Kendrick pinots I've had, it may be better tomorrow. Improved after it was open an hour and lost a little of its sharpness. But the finish is still not good. We'll see...

October 23, 2015 - Surprisingly good. Light but spicy cherry and brown sugar. I would have believed it was a Santa Lucia Highlands grape.

January 28, 2015 - My best bottle of this yet. Fantastic cherry and raspberry fruit flavors on the palate with a sweetness that is not cloying as it's balanced by a hint of oak and acidity. this has a medium finish. I think there is a serious upside to holding on to these wines for a few years at least. Interesting as my experience seems to differ from those who wrote the more recent notes.

December 21, 2014 - poured a small glass and let the bottle breathe for 1 hour. Still in a lovely place.

December 1, 2014 - Nice texture, a bit of oak.. Nice fruit. Not the wine it was a year or so ago.

(Kendric Vineyards Pinot Noir) Medium red color with pale meniscus; lifted, cinnamon, VA, raspberry puree nose; baked raspberry, raspberry puree palate with a sense of salinity; medium-plus finish
