Right out of the bottle, deep, berry flavors are apparent; the flavors mellow and meld after the bottle has been open for several hours. I very much enjoyed the wine at both stages. Despite the high alcohol level, I find the wine to be well balanced. For a pinot noir I would put this medium to medium high level of flavor and voluptuousness.
