  July 14, 2017 - Past its prime but still good. Decanted and allowed to air for about 45 minutes. Dark ruby in color with slow legs. Faint red berry with strong leather notes on nose. Tight and organized with Black pepper, leather, flint and a hint of red fruit. Long mineral/tannin finish.

  December 26, 2014 - Purple with a transparent edge. Fruit forward nose with rich dark fruit like blueberries, blackberries, and red cherries that are more sweet than the sour cherries I associate with this wine. The nose is consistent with the palate. Tannins have rounded and the minerality is more understated in this six year old vino. The cab is dominating the Sangiovese at this point. Always a favorite at the price point. 5+13+17+8=92
