February 4, 2011 - Garnet to dark garnet in the glass with clarity throughout. Rich savory smalls and flavors of spices and black fruit with sweet cherries and red berries lifting it up. Very interesting and complex flavor profile. Medium tannins and acidity. Reminded me of some old world Italian wines- Amarone?! It paired wonderfully with the short ribs which were made with The Loin, the little brother of Nucleus.
