December 8, 2012 - The 2008 vintage is a rather light weight Blaufränkisch Reserve from Lang but has a beautiful nose of sour cherries, vanilla and roasted flavors, elegant on the palate with soft tannins, a slightly sharp acidity, cherries and blackberries mix with vanilla and gentle peppery spice, roasted oak flavors, quite herbaceous, not a lot of density and structure, the finish of average length, but overall a tasty wine. Drink now through 2015. Well-handled for the vintage, but not at the same quality level as the 2005, 2006, 2009 which I have tasted so far. - 88 points
