May 12, 2017 - Even though this wine was "past due"three years, it was still very pleasing to the nose and palate. Alcohol, minerals, leather, and deep berries on the nose.
Leather, oak, dark berries on the palate.
We had chicken burritos with this wine. Delicious!

September 29, 2013 - Agree that it's a great food wine. Had it with pork both times so far, and it matched very nicely.

January 25, 2013 - Feathered scents of charcoal smoked plums, blackberry, greens, and cigar humidor. Wild and dry with bitter fruit acids, clay, savory dried dates and raisins donating to a smooth conclusion.

May 19, 2012 - One of the darkest syrahs I have seen. Smokey, good acidity, not a lot of fruit...may have faded. Wouldn't call this rich, but it is a great food wine.

April 8, 2012 - Rich, but not so much that it overwhelmed the pork roast we had it with.
