Community Tasting Notes 4

November 1, 2012 - On first opening the nose features currants, leather, earthy spices and underbrush. The palate features black cherry, cocoa and clove spices that linger to a coffee and semi-sweet chocolate finish.

One hour later the nose is showing black cherry, currant, cocoa and cinnamon spices. The palate is equally bruising with black cherry, cocoa, cinnamon and coffee notes hanging around to bolster a tart coffee and semisweet chocolate mole' finish.

One day later the nose has dark currant, dusty spices and some underbrush. The palate hasn't lost any oomph either with dark currant, black cherry, toffee and clove spice that carries over to the finish with notes of cocoa.

Quite good, nice length and adequate structure, just enough fruit on the front to make it very enjoyable, nice for 25-30 bucks.

October 30, 2011 - Some new oak hits the nose, a spicy cinnamon kind. Fleshy and round, plump with dark cherry. Some cocoa on the finish, finishes a bit sweet.

October 7, 2011 - Upfront dark fruit bouquet with crashed wild cherry. A better drink for second day, even third day. A typical napa Cab, concentration is good, a bit oakyness, berries, tannins is a bit chewy and chunky, not a member able wine, but not a bad wine either. Drink well in next 2-3 years.
