  August 18, 2013 - One of the better Albarino that I've had, and certainly one of the more age-worthy considering how well it is drinking at 4 years old. Excellent peach and citrus nose, richer mid palate than most Albarino and also a much more notable salty/mineral component than many Albarino wines. Good finish as well. I expect this still has a few years left in it, but it's drinking perfectly right now, and I see no reason to wait.

  March 7, 2012 - At its peak right now. Don't waste a minute. Open and enjoy Pionero to the fullest. The nose is filled with tropical fruits and wild flowers. The palate is ripe with summer peaches, fresh lemons and almond shavings at the finish.
