April 7, 2024 - This started quite lean and a bit faint but with some air and warming it became more classic in profile with more of that saline minerality showing. I would have expected something more fuller and oxidative considering age but it seems to be slimming down as it ages. Best drink soonish

August 28, 2019 - Drunk alongside the 2010. This vintage showed a bit heavier and clumsier on palate. With an oily texture and just a hint of age. Air revealed good fruit and depth but doesn’t have quite the same energy. Would think this is best over next 3-4 years. .

January 12, 2017 - 2017 Sella Ronda Ski Trip; 1/12/2017-1/15/2017 (Alta Badia, Italy): This is one of our favourite whites from Sicily and we jumped at the opportunity to try an old one from a pristine cellar ( Siriola in the Dolomites ). Unfortunately time has not been to kind and the wine had lost its vitality that came with its youth. Still a nice wine but not a memorable one. 87

May 22, 2016 - Costiera Amalfitana; 5/16/2016-5/25/2016: Lemon, golden apple, quince, parrafin, white chalk, sea foam, crushed clam, soaked grass. Really nerdy. Answers the question: "What if Sauvignon Blanc grew some balls?" Plenty of acidity; still time left. Drink now-2018

March 25, 2014 - Light lemon color despite its age.
Nose shows evolution, wet wool aromas, almonds, quince and citrus fruit.
On the palate it is round, flavorful with an interplay of citrus, tropical fruit, minerals and nuts. Very enjoyable now when it seems fully mature but it may stay good for some time more.

January 19, 2014 - And now for something different. On a day where I had a lot of nice, expensive whites, this stood apart. Herbal nose with a touch of sweetness. Very dry palate with tingly acidity and tons of minerality. Very enjoyable & food friendly - and supposed to improve with time.

June 3, 2012 - Last time I had this wine a year ago it was much more evolved, this bottle was much fresher. Color was brighter, pale lemon green and nose was fresh and pungent with green citrus zest, almonds and a nice mineral edge. Palate was crisp with saline and mineral notes complementing citrus fruit. Good finish.

November 2, 2011 - Lemony clear and bright. Nose is developing, of medium to high intensity with loads of minerals, bitter almonds, lime peel and quince. Palate is very nutty with medium to high acidity quite full body though alcohol in only 12.5%. Flavours are intense and long. Apart from nuttiness (mainly almonds), there is salty minerality, quince and unripe tropical fruit and lime. Excellent food wine. Much more evolved than I would have though having tasted the wine one year and a half ago, yet still vibrant.

April 19, 2010 - Light straw yellow colour. More powerfull than the Bianco di Caselle also aged only in steel vats. Again the nose is not very pronounced, but the mineral dimension is more obvious. Fuller bodied, powerfull acidity which balances very finely with the lavours and the alcohol. Longer, mineral aftertaste, citrus flavours also. Amazing purity and class. A wine at a primary stage of its evolution
