April 20, 2024 - ...learning experience.... Needs LONG decant/opening. Only after 6 hours double decant from a magnum was it ready (dead as a dodo when cork pulled). At that point it was showing very nice secondary notes. I would really NOT have predicted that when I tasted it as a fruit bomb en primeur. Good example of Haut Medoc, but not behaving like an average 2009 wine.

April 1, 2024 - Fruit and some spicy and herbal notes, whiff of earthiness. Fresh, mild bitters. OK, not exciting.

March 30, 2024 - 1hour decant and drinking very well. Mild fruit in the back seat, cedar, long velvet finish, no brainer with fatty lamb and roasted veggies.

January 26, 2024 - Pnp, sweet tannic red fruits, not yet ready. After 1 hour, it was settled down and started to blossom. Juicy red fruits, hint of tobacco, medium to full bodied with silky finish. Great qpr and reliable.

December 28, 2023 - Best 2 days after opening. Much richer in bouquet / taste and still lots of nice fruity tones in the smell. Therefore, I think it will still improve for 1-2 years in a good cellar

November 24, 2023 - A very decent claret and value for money. Ready to drink and I dont expect it will further develop within the cellar. 1st bt of the case recently purchased

July 29, 2023 - Coravin fun - Bordeaux and Mosel (My place, Kent Street): from Coravin. Medium minus intensity aromas of slightly jammy non-delineated black fruits with a little sweet spice, a bit flat. And equally flat on the palate, contrasting this with last nights tastings of Bordeaux 09's is an interesting exercise. This is very muted compared to those. Meh

May 19, 2023 - Very nice and great QPR. Certainly black fruit and smooth, nicely integrated tannins. The fruit is probably receding about as far as I would like, and it’ll probably be a smooth satisfying glass for another five years before fading. Short but satisfying aftertaste
