September 26, 2017 - Peach, apricot and mint notes to the nose. The fullness of the vintage nicely balanced by remaining acid and a sharp definition to the midpalate. Don't see this getting much better though. 95-

August 18, 2017 - Robuchon blind dinner. Youthful golden yellow with intensity, richness and perfect acidity. Some guessed Ramonet on mineral qualities. Clean, stunning stuff.

April 5, 2017 - Montrachet: Ramonet v. Drouhin (Highlights): Got more out of this than the '90 Drouin alongside, which was also quite good. Big ripe yellow fruit with white florals. Opulent but not unduly fat. Some at our table said too much O2, but this was fine, developed ripeness.

April 5, 2017 - Montrachet Dinner: 10 Vintages of Ramonet and Marquis de Laguiche, 1983-2002 (Oceana - New York NY): Also very ripe, this started with a great array of stone and orchard fruits with rich spice notes. Less opulent from middle to finish, where lots of nuance emerges, as it starts showing great textural finesse. Very long finish. A very elegant 1990.

February 25, 2012 - La Paulee Gala (San Francisco CA): Lush, powerful fruit to start with the telltale "Ramonet" wintergreen mint, accompanied by more good spice. Lush peach on palate, with transitioned to more lean green apple, also with good spice. Certainly a mature wine that won't be getting much better, I'd be drinking these over the next few years if this bottle was representative. Much less advanced than its 1991 counterpart tasted slightly earlier.

April 10, 2010 - Horribly corked, and everyone at the table wanted to weep. Once again, it's never the Bourgogne that's corked is it, it's that '90 Ramonet Montrachet you've been saving... ARGH

May 15, 2005 - what a nose of fennel, dill, and chicken stock.. palate was simply out of this world. had the viscosity of motor oil, yet danced on the palate. Smoke, white flowers, lemon zest, apricot, roasted chestnuts. this went on forever! great finish, long and youthful, can't lie and say i have more, but my wife and i freaked for this. wow. ive been spoiled quite a bit with le montrachet, and Ramonet to my palate is in a different time zone... speaking about vintages 1970's to 1999...

    Jaune citron, brillant

    Conclusion 2 : vive Meursault.
