March 22, 2020 - Similar impression as last time. However decanting tamed its structure a little bit and helped unfold the rustic flavours of this wine (barnyard, game, leather). Perfectly drinkable with some aeration and still many years to go.
As a sidenote: Rarely had a wine with that much sediment. Almost clogged the drain ;)

February 13, 2020 - Nez parfumé de fruit noir frais. Belle rondeur en attaque, fruit mûr, les tanins sont bien arrondis, gommeux, le vin ouvert, savoureux et bien équilibré. Musclé certes, mais très civilisé. Excellent.

September 11, 2019 - Great old-school Bandol. Dark, dry and still very structured. Yet matured enough to add sweet maraschino-cherry to the barnyard and olive flavours. Precise, fresh and nicely low 13.5 ABV. With a tannic spine to go for another 10 years. Maybe a bit one-dimensional, but I admire how the wine has retained a rustic youthfulness.

June 2, 2018 - Very much classic on the nose with tons of garrigue, prominent red fruit, balsamico, tobacco and a hint of wood. Bone-dry and thoroughly savory on the palate with only the slightest sweetness to the fruit. Not huge but not light either. The entry is mellow but midway through a very nice wave of tannins emerges. Very bright and joyful, has a good grip but does not finish one bit drying. No fat at this point, yet little in terms of tertiary development. Enjoyable now with 3+ hours in the decanter but will not reach its apogee before 5-10 more years sideways.

September 7, 2015 - Excellent traditional style Bandol. It could have aged longer and improved. Purchased at the winery and cellared since, it was youthful and tannic with a earthy character.
