July 29, 2022 - Getting a tawny brown hue and entering its end phase now. Fruit has largely dissipated and we are left with lovely secondary and faint tertiary notes - woody spices, worn leather. Still nicely structured with faint dusty tannins and good freshness. Drink up in the next 2-3 years.

September 11, 2020 - Notable change from last bottle a few years ago. Tertiary character starting to build with notes of old leather, sweet spice, cinnamon around a blackberry and raspberry core. Generously perfumed and nicely delineated. A silky mouthfeel with integrated tannins, racy acidity and good fruit expression. Promising future.

June 18, 2020 - Birthday wine. Bottle age has really improved this. Smokey red fruits, complex, balanced, juicy palate. Tannins are still prominent. Could get even better. Impressed.

January 22, 2020 - Medium red with lighter edge. Nice fruit on opening. One hour decant reveals lovely spicey red fruit and good length. Clean and fresh rather than big and deep. But very round and filled with character. Just about right. Delicious!!

    November 16, 2019 - Very typical Syrah
On the nose: Herbs, smoked meat, cinnamon, white pepper
On the palate: very high acidity, blueberry, meat, herbs, dark berries
    Medium + finish
