December 23, 2019 - Grandson’s early 21st birthday he leaving for NY. Had him decant it about an hour early. Tons of tannin left, great color, this is excellent. Could go easily a few more years. Superb with prime rib.

February 19, 2017 - Possibly past its prime or possile storeage issues at some point?? Aerated into decanter (bad move). Sat for 1.5 hours. Fruit was excellent in the beginning but disappeared by the time we sat down to eat. Typical secondary notes for a wine this old. Still very good but would have been better drinking upon opening. I do not recommend decanting at this point.

April 21, 2012 - Nose of minerals, saddle leather, and flowers. Pomegranate, sweet red fruit and and just a hint of tannins. A beautiful wine that is aging well.

February 21, 2012 - 95+. Outstanding, and on the cusp of extraordinary. Part of an Acker Auctions' Mondavi lot. Perfect upon opening. Resolved tannins which still show their presence, with good dark red fruit. The taste is better than the nose. Comparable: Robin Yount.
