  January 26, 2013 - Popped and poured and it was very good right away. Nice nose and enjoyed with cheese and crackers. Last bottle unfortunately.

  October 24, 2010 - Enjoyed this wine with with meal of steak and green salad with baked sweet potato. As a Gainey wine club member, I had tasted the 2007 version and was not as impressed. I opened this wine because my wife is pregnant and is not a fan of Cab Franc, so I have to drink wine she won't feel bad missing out on. I was pleasantly surprised by this enjoyable wine with a nose of red fruit and a hint of leather. The mouthfeel was velvety with tastes of blackberries and possibly blueberry. It finished with an earthy almost mineral flavor to me. This wine is still young, but did not have huge tannins. It was fairly fruit forward, but balanced and an easy wine to drink now.
