Community Tasting Notes 11

March 11, 2014 - This wine has real personality. It is just enough different from the white wines we normally drink. It is kind of rustic, but still has a real nice fresh fruit side. The color is light golden. The nose has a briny muscadine meets honeyed peach and citrus. Barely medium bodied. One of those wines with a lot more character than the viscosity would indicate. I'm giving it a relatively decent score because the finish is outstanding with a really crisp, but totally civilized savory light tangerine and peach flavor that lasts for minutes.

July 2, 2012 - First experience with this wine. Pleasant. Drinkable.

February 9, 2012 - Fresh, great acid balance, a new favorite!

January 12, 2012 - Found in the bargain bin of Napili market in Maui for $6.99, so this wine has been across the Med, Atlantic, Pacific, and possibly Indian oceans to get to the lanai this evening. Pale, clear, Semillon-like nose. Pleasant balance and mild finish, with mild citrus notes. Good mouthfeel with a hint of flinty backbone, but very smooth; the "oily" comments are close, but in a pleasant way. A find. Ei thought this was "OK".

August 26, 2011 - Green apple and lemon with an oily component. Different, but not particularly good.
