April 27, 2024 - Bottle drunk in parallel with a Pontet Canet 2009. Carafage for 4 hours.
Nose of black fruits, menthol, tobacco and leather.
Mouth full of tension, with a stony side. Mineral flavors, dead leaves, black fruits and tobacco follow one another in a harmonious and intense way. Beautiful complexity and evolution for a wine which retains a nice freshness but which already seems to be at its peak unless you prefer more tertiary aromas. Today it offers a good balance, it is suave and sapid. Beautiful finish on tobacco with an elegant length.

April 20, 2024 - 6/12. Decanted for about 90 min. Showing much more loosely knit than the last bottle with some oak but now also plenty of tobacco and leather notes on the palate. Unlike the very smooth Malartic Lagraviere this has a more sandy texture. Very good Bdx and of similar quality as the 09 Malartic Lagraviere but curious to see if the Brane will be the better wine in the mid term.
