October 14, 2023 - This bottle seemed in fine shape, with good fill level, excellent cork and a healthy color, but it just seemed closed and ungiving. Nice density and mouthfeel, with nicely resolved structure, but not getting a lot of flavor.

May 27, 2019 - Fantastic. Slow oxed for an hour. Beautiful nose of rose petals, tannins smoothed out, earthy leather notes. Tertiary elements coming through but still some cherry notes. All around beautiful example of nebbiolo

July 22, 2018 - Quoting GM: Anise, dark cherries, balsamic, and a whiff of smoke, with serious deep black and red fruits, and a lingering finish. Good stuffing and grip.

May 27, 2018 - Showing beautifully, a well-stored bottle that is fully mature but in no danger of decline. Dusky garnet with bricking throughout. Nose is exactly what you want from mature Barolo. Rose petals out the wazoo, plus smokey tar and leather, orange rind, a bit of toffee and earth. Opens with sweet fruit, leather and iron rust, smoke and tar in the mouth, ample acid, tannins resolved. Oak not evident at all. The earlier rating of 84 doesn't have any description so hard to parse. Not indicative, based on this experience. Terrific wine. Undervalued in the market. Well stored bottles worth seeking out.
