October 16, 2020 - This was a fairly controversial wine at the table because it showed an abundance of sprtizy acidity which seems odd for a 21-year old Burgundy but there's no denying the gorgeous dark cherry fruit underneath and the complex, spice-driven finish. I enjoyed it.

November 19, 2019 - Opened 1 hour prior. Dark garnet, with tawny rim and suspended sediment. Black cherry tertiary nose with some toffee sweetness. Round entry with slow burn acidic spine building out a bright cherry mid-palate that blends seamlessly into a long final. Fine, integrated tannins and some spice notes.

This is lovely and fully evolved Pinot. Great balance and length.

May 23, 2018 - Something not quite right. Smelled like a brett bloom hit it somewhere along the way. A shame as three other bottles were really good.

November 25, 2017 - Very good bottle. Fine tannins evident but resolved, dark fruit still quite delicious. Excellent balance. Last bottle, wish I had more as it is very much in its prime with 4-6 good years ahead of it. Grand Cru quality shows.

June 5, 2017 - My third half bottle is about three years. Popped and slow oxed for two hours and enjoyed with steak. The primary fruit is beginning to give way to more stony and savory elements but it's still there for enjoyment. This bottle was ready to go from the first pour and wemtnrather quickly. Tannin is fully integrated and this has a terrific mouth feel.
