-med+ acidity, med weight bright sappy fresh tart black cherry overlying a mildly rustic earthiness with licorice note, med tannins

June 11, 2016 - Un vieux Maranges.
C'est une jeune appellation, qui n'a pas encore une personnalité très définie, et qui demeure relativement peu distribuée chez-nous au Québec :
Le premier que je déguste aussi vieux.
Le vin est toujours rubis, limpide et relativement clair.
Au nez, le bois, plutôt jeune, domine encore . Étonnant.
La bouche est ferme, légèrement poivrée, chaude et liquoreuse.
Ce vin là a de la sève et sa rémanence est remarquable.
Chaque lampée satisfait longuement, et on apprécie la longueur appréciable d'un vin superbement charpenté même s'il n'est pas excessivement concentré.
Superbe extraction.
Parfaitement réussi.
