April 28, 2022 - slightly on the nose, graphite, cassis. Medium body, decanting 2 hours: pleasant tannins, pleasant fruit. Now in the drinking window. It probably won't get any better. Beautiful cru Bourgois from a good vintage at a good price.

January 26, 2022 - My third comment on this wine, and in the 16 months since the first comment this wine has totally transformed to gloriously fruity and delightful wine, completely justifying the early predictions. Yummy. (2009s have so wonderfully lived up to expectations in my opinion. I worried that they were trying to plough a Californian furrow, which was not Bordeaux like, but subsequent years have shown that that can and needs to be done in the new world of climate change).

    May 19, 2021 - großer Jg,
jetzt(!) trinkfertig, wohl wegen der 68(!)% Merlot.
sehr fruchtig, trinkig- unkompliziert.eher einfach strukturiert

March 16, 2021 - To my considerable delight I can say that this second bottle is totally different from the first, and rather like the previous contributor I find it delivering the goods: warm, sweet, with good St Estephe body, and it has nice medium tannins, with a pleasant vegetal nature. There is length. This is what all the fuss was about in 2011..... A case of bottle variation or just that 6 months ago the wine was in a sulky phase...? Possibly a bit of both. Definitely a nice bottle (this one) now, and showing considerable promise for the next few years..

November 11, 2020 - At last a bottle of this with virtually no spoilage, providing the ripe but firm promise of its youth.
