April 11, 2023 - Walks the tight rope between sweet fruit and limey acidic beautifulness
Favors the honey and clover side upfront but oh man that finish is superbly balanced and leaves you smacking your lips and tongue to get all the nuances!!….delicious -

May 28, 2022 - Very deep golden color. Superintense sweet nose with plenty of honey. Superripe. Intense. Balsamic sweet honey Texture on the palate. Long sweet finish. Lovely. Wonderful Oily texture.

March 28, 2021 - Superb Super Tuscans!: This wine seemed much older than 2009. Strong orange marmalade flavor that made me think of 2003 Rieussec or older. Not as much acidity as other 2009's but paired well with creme brûlée. A nice Sauternes and easily 90 points. Also, a good way to end our tasting!

This Sauternes comes very close to competing with the better producers. You have all the hallmark elements - ripe stone fruit, spicy botrytis, caramel, creme brulee, sweetness and balancing acidity. On the spectrum of Sauternes, this is slightly more lightweight than average. They seem to be going for elegance, but it is not as elegant as Yquem or Climens. It is one step toward Rieussec in its boldness. My appreciation for Sauternes is waning, but this wine is compelling.
