  January 21, 2024 - Utterly fantastic, particularly after about an hour post-opening. Definitely note of smoke, meat. Paired very well with prime rib.

  June 19, 2023 - Primarily Syrah with Viognier (11%) blended in. Deep ruby color with a slight garnet rim. Fragrant tertiary aromas of smoked meat, charcoal and earth. Pallet is loaded with dried red fruit, black pepper, and dark chocolate and coffee. Mineral tinged finish. Extremely soft tannins and gentle acidity. Probably near the end of its drinking window but still fantastic. A gift from my children that I will always remember.

  June 4, 2023 - Exceptional wine. Lots of dark fruit, hints of meat on the nose, as others have noted long and voluptuous in the mouth. Delicious.

  April 24, 2023 - Tasted next to 2007 Guigal La Landonne. Expressive on the nose - oodles of ripe fruit, woodsmoke, liquorice, coffee beans, meat, spices and grilled herbs. On the palate concentrated and rich, good acidity, quite powerful. Grippy but ripe tannins. Almost a bit of baby fat still. Super long finish. Needs time. 95-96+

  January 26, 2023 - Dégustation Côte Blonde (La Caverne de Collin): Nez discret, porté par un doux boisé. Un peu de fruit noir. La bouche est beaucoup plus intéressante! Le vin est très dense et long, avec une texture voluptueuse, c'est le bébé du groupe et sa longueur structurelle est phénoménale. Un vin immense, quoique unidimensionnel au niveau aromatique à ce stade. Il est délicieux, mais pas pleinement expressif. À revoir dans au moins 5 ans, voire 10 ans, je crois qu'il pourrait dépasser les autres un jour, quoique pas le 2010. 96++
