June 19, 2013 - Dark purple. More oak than expected, very hot alcohol, not balanced (yet?). Not really my style - if I had more I would give them at least a couple more years.

October 20, 2012 - Crimson purple with a transparent edge. The nose is rich tobacco leaf, cassias, and big dark fruit (blackberries and ripe raspberries most dominant). Dense full mouth feel. Palette is jammy with sour cherries, tobacco, and tart tannins. Finish is lingering tabacco and black berries. Suprised the glasses weren't more stained. 5+12+16+8=91
Update - I wondered if this was a blend and upon a first look at the label confirmed its 75% cab, 15% merlot, 5% franc and 5% p verdot.
