  June 25, 2023 - Another year since my last bottle. Slow ox'ed for about 1h. Still starts reductive but blows off with some more air. The lemon yellow in the glass is clearly revealing that the wine is not young anymore. While there is still good acidity providing fairly explosive freshness, the fruit is starting to feel just a touch tired and am planning to drink my remaining bottles soon.
  
  PS: Crazy to see on wine-searcher that this is also a USD300 wine now...

  June 24, 2023 - Very acidic and green, was guessing Chenin Blanc. There is good aromatic complexity here. Good, but a bit too sharp for my palate.

  April 18, 2023 - Admirable Chablis grand cru qui affirme une belle complexité olfactive: l'amande très présente en duo avec des nuances de coquille d'huître puis à l'aération s'invitent des nuances de pierres chaudes,de silex.On sent vraiment le terroir...La bouche est splendide de l'attaque à la finale:c'est ample,structuré,signe de petits rendements agrémenté d'une acidité très présente mais non dérangeante.Longueur impressionnante de 12 caudalies.Encore une réalisation de ce grand vigneron JM Guffens....

  April 21, 2022 - 3 years since my last bottle and at age 26 again an amazing showing for the Bougros from Verget. Still reductive upon opening but does not need the extensive air or decant like 3 years ago, instead unfolds beautifully with some time in the open bottle. A light to medium golden yellow in the glass. Great freshness and acidity balancing the maturing fruit notes, some oak which is perhaps the only criticism here as a bit less would have made the wine even better in my eyes, very good length. Very impressive Chablis and a complete opposite of the also excellent 95 Valmur stylewise. Would be curious to know if Verget was experimenting with their white Burgundy winemaking during that time or how so different outcomes within a year can be explained.
