September 3, 2016 - a few South African wines: Good sparkler for $12 - which isn't easy to pull off. Light gold color. Smells of lemon curd, lime, salty-toasted baguette. Crisp and bright on the nose with apples, lemons and lots of chalk. Light, not too complex but very crisp and quite tasty.

December 19, 2014 - bready nose with fruity palate. nice full body.
biscuit, almond, and fermented rice on the nose. yeast of course. white raisin.
denser palate than most <20 sparkles. straw colour.
lemon/lime, dried apricot, and orange peel on the palate.
big soapy bubbles that don't cling to the glass.
who knows what batch my bottle is from. i suspect it's 2 years old but holds well and hits the spot for a dry under $20 methode champenoise
