May 14, 2015 - Terrific nose of perfume and roses with strawberry, pomegranate, and raspberry notes. Medium body, nice acidity.

November 11, 2014 - Opened and decanted, drank over the next three hours. Starts off a little slow, with a brief bit of funk. Then this did nothing but blossom into a terrific pinot noir. Penetrating and persistent nose of spice and red fruit, and always seems to have a new dimension every time I go back to the glass, with a hint of menthol making a brief appearance, and a bit of mocha (though not in an overwhelming way, only as a very mild and brief accent). A bright and focused palate, with crisp acidity, very pure, lively red fruit, earth, seems to be developing some secondary characteristics, and a long and penetrating finish. I should also mention the lovely, velvety texture. First class wine.

January 16, 2014 - Bright acidity upon opening. Sour cherry. Medium bodied. Elegant. Earthy, mushroom Notes with air. Restrained style. Will follow over another day.
2nd day. lovely bright sour cherry nose. Rhubard. chalky slate. smells pure. Silky upon immediate entry and then the acids kick in followed by the minerals. This is very nice. elegant. restrained fruit. rhubarb again. tart red currants and cherries. Excellent wine. Could develop some more, but love where it is right now.

October 4, 2013 - I love it! Beautifully elegant, complex, layered Pinot Noir. Elegant is the key word here; this wine is all about restraint and subtlety, but is wide open and super expressive right now. It has a significant herbal character, with plenty of tart red fruit to balance it, and a good dose of soil to add complexity. It's drinking so well now that I can't see it improving for my taste, but I'll tuck at least one away for a couple more years to see what might happen with a bit more maturity.
