October 24, 2016 - Bellissimo rubino tendente al granato. Nobile di goudron, ribes, caffè, tabacco, humus, eucalipto, pepe, cumino, viola appassita, scorza di chinotto. Bocca equilibrata, appena un po’ dolce a testimonianza dell’annata, ma di grande consistenza e verticalità

June 11, 2013 - Light crimson with slight orange rim; licorice, cherry, orange peel, cedar, classic Brunello nose, well put together; tasted much younger (thought '04), still good tannin, really opened up and became balanced with air; love the producer; the best 2000 BdM I've ever had (yet to have Soldera).

April 1, 2012 - Seems to be in a funky place right now...fruit definitely evident, but a sleepy haze casts its shadow...plenty of structure to carry this wine another 5-10 years..
