January 20, 2024 - Nose is assertive strawberry and herbs. Taste is juicy sweet fresh strawberry toned over dry sage. Quite juicy, fresh fruit acid, smelling of bottled up age searching for air. Or, preserved strawberry jelly infused with dry sage leaves. The 2009 Pinot Noir grapes were blessed by Bacchus, picked and bottled by his anointed accolade.

July 23, 2021 - Good ruby color, slightly cloudy. Really tart and tight for the first half hour. Opened up nicely over 2 hours. Eventually showed bright red cherry fruit and a sweeter finish. I think that this is over rated and I own a lot of other vintages. I am not sure I would buy more at this price.

May 13, 2021 - Color matches a current release Pinot, darker with depth, tawny at bottom layer. Not a simple wine to assess, on the nose strawberry crush over light sherry. Taste of sweet pleasantly tart strawberry, inviting, - must be a young wine - oh wait, a layer of dried well aged medium dry sherry, enables another pour - what exactly is this?
Very few taster's have the opportunity to experience the nuances of well aged Burgundy, Barolo , Sherry, Port, Sauternes fewer an Oregon Pinot.

February 7, 2021 - My 2019 note remains spot on. Tasted with 2010 BF, less acid, less bright fruit, softer, rarer spices on the palate, age with polish, there is fruit (may have mislead).
I would never compare an Oregon or US pinot to Burgundy; some may appreciate the deeper, softer, riper fruit, others the fragrant pure essence of Pinot.

    Bridgette Bardot or Marilyn Monroe?

April 24, 2020 - This gets better as it ages. Tastes like a 1er cru Chambolle.
